Ellisia Humberstone

Ellie is a vocal coach based in Scotland with a strong background in education and vocal pedagogy. She studied Music at the University of Leeds and spent a year studying in Arizona. She later completed her PGCE and taught Music and Drama in both the UK and international schools. Her work has included teaching across secondary settings as well as leading the Arts Faculty as Head of Arts at an international school in Dubai.

Ellie has worked with singers for many years through classroom teaching, youth theatre, and private coaching. She teaches musical theatre and contemporary styles and enjoys helping singers develop healthy, reliable voices that feel flexible and expressive. Her approach blends Vocal Balance technique with clear, practical teaching methods shaped by her training as an educator. She is confident working with complete beginners as well as developing performers preparing for auditions, exams and live performance.

Ellie has taught students from a wide range of backgrounds and is experienced in adapting technique so that every singer feels confident, capable and supported. She focuses on helping singers understand how their voice works, building security through healthy fundamentals and encouraging a creative, free approach to sound.

Alongside her vocal coaching studio, Ellie leads several large community choirs in Scotland and works with hundreds of adult singers each week. She is passionate about making technique accessible and enjoyable, and she loves how the Vocal Balance tools bring ease, freedom and consistency to the voice.

Ellie teaches from her home studio in the central belt of Scotland and also offers online lessons.
