Georgina Mabey
Level 1
|
Georgina started her musical training first as a classical violinist, studying at The University of Manchester where she graduated with a BMus (Hons) in Music. She later trained at Sharpe Academy, completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre and Acting. Since then, she has performed extensively on cruise ships - first as a violinist with German cruise line AIDA, and more recently as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (violin/piano) on board MSC’s luxury Explora ships.
Alongside her performance career, Georgina has been teaching privately for the last 5 years, offering 1-to-1 lessons in voice, piano, and violin. She has recently completed the Vocal Balance Teaching Training and is excited to continue developing her skills as part of the Vocal Balance team. After periods living in both Manchester and London, Georgina has now returned to her hometown in the Midlands where she continues to offer in-person 1-to-1 teaching.
As a performer, Georgina is currently enjoying a shift away from Musical Theatre and into the world of Rock and Pop. Together with her partner, she performs as part of a high-energy rock duo at gigs across the country. This transition has deepened her passion for using the Vocal Balance framework to support these styles, and to help singers find safe and sustainable technique within these genres.
Georgina aims to create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable and supported to explore their voice, try different genres, and find genuine joy in singing and music-making.
