We are delighted to welcome Sophie Linder-Lee to our team of professionals who will be providing our trainee teachers with an insight into the mental health and wellbeing side of both teaching and the entertainment industry.
Sophie Linder-Lee - Mental Health and Wellbeing
As well as working in the Theatre industry for over 16 years on the West End and all over the world Sophie is an accredited Life Coach (Dip NCFE Level 4) and certified in Counselling skills (NCFE Level 2) and is currently studying for her Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Accredited/ credit rate at SCQF level 8) with West of Scotland University.
Sophie is passionate about caring for the creative minds of performers and particularly in working to help them to manage and cope better with stress and the effects it has on the body and mind. She works mainly with performers as a coach on a one-to-one basis and running group lectures at colleges across the country including Italia Conti, Arts Ed, Midlands Academy, SLP, Leeds Conservatoire, D&B Academy, Evolution Foundation and Momentum. She teaches Performers awareness of their own mental wellbeing using mindfulness, CBT and NLP techniques.
Sophie's Theatrical credits include: Glinda in Wicked (West End), Janet in Rocky Horror Show (Tour), Columbia in Rocky Horror Show (West End), Mermaid/Librarian in Big Fish (London), U/S Lisa in Mamma Mia! (West End), Stone Rockbrockmanrock in Silence! The Musical (London).
Sophie's TV appearances include: Royal Variety Performance (ITV), X Factor (ITV), Top of the Pops (BBC), The Slammer (CBBC) and Halifax (commercial).
